Professional Male Actors – Principal

  • American search for an excellent actor of Middle Eastern heritage or Middle Eastern looking to play the lead character; Jivan, who can speak with a Middle Eastern accent. Jivan is reserved and traditional, he is an introvert and values family. He is also a great dancer trained in; modern/jazz, duet (who can lift) and is between the ages of 25 – 40 and is 5.8 – 6.0 tall.

  • Black/African actor who is an excellent dancer between the ages of 20 – 35 to play the role of Matthew,  Jivan’s friend.

Professional Female Actors/Dancers – Principal

  • American search for an excellent actress of Middle Eastern heritage or Middle Eastern looking to play the lead character; Almaza, who is an exquisite, trained dancer as well. She is a modern intelligent woman who is fierce, passionate, romantic and ambitious and is between the ages of 20 and 40 and is 5.4 – 5.7 tall. She is kind and goes after what she wants. She dances beautifully and is versed in belly dance, modern, partnering (lifts), hip – hop and African.

  • Middle Eastern looking female who can speak with Middle Eastern accent between 45 – 60 years old to play the role of Khadijeh – Jivan’s Mother.
  • Middle Eastern looking female who can speak with Middle Eastern accent between 35 – 55 years old to play Khadijeh’s friend.

Male and Female Dance Artists

Between the ages of 20 – 40 must be professionally trained in at least three of the following genres

  • Jazz
  • Belly Dance
  • Middle Eastern Dance (variety)
  • Modern
  • Hip Hop
  • Samba
  • Ballet
  • Stage Combat
  • Fire Dance
  • Interpretive
  • Acrobatics (for dance fusion)

Musicians

Professionally trained to play one of the
following instruments

  • Hand Drum; Arabic, African or Persian
  • Middle Eastern Flute; Duduk or Arabic Nay
